SoftWave Therapy, or Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (EWST), is a non-invasive treatment that involves the delivery of shock waves to an injured area to promote healing. This treatment produces highly effective shock waves that initiate biological regeneration processes at the cellular level.
Treatment involving technology that applies short, frequent, and high intensity bursts of mechanical energy (in the form of a shockwave) into soft-tissue that is injured, scarred, or contains adhesions, is painful, or inflamed.
“I have a history of previous meniscal tear with partial meniscectomy and debilitating osteoarthritis in my left knee. For pain control, my treatment regimen consisted of Tylenol, icing, and applying Voltaren regularly. In October 2022, when my pain became severe I was given a corticosteroid injection, which eased the pain but eventually wore off.
In December I learned about Softwave treatment at Origin. I was amazed after my first visit and had renewed range of motion that was pain free and have me a sense of higher hope and inspiration for my wellness journey. I literally hopped, skipped, and jumped out the Origin Health door. I was even able to jump rope at the gym two days later.
I had four total treatments have significantly reduced my knee swelling, inflammation, and pain. My range of motion stability and the reduction in pain have vastly improved.
I am truly grateful to have Origin Health be an integral part of my medical care TEAM.”
